The Game Assembly expands to the UK – new school opening in Liverpool
News | Published 19 February 2025
The Game Assembly (TGA) is expanding internationally, bringing its renowned game development education to the United Kingdom. In collaboration with The City of Liverpool College, we are launching three full-time courses in autumn 2025, making Liverpool our first school outside of Sweden.
For the first time, students based in the UK will have access to our proven education model, which has established TGA as one of the world’s leading game development schools. The courses in Liverpool follow the same studio-simulated approach as in Sweden, where students collaborate in cross-disciplinary teams to create games from concept to playable prototypes—just like in a real studio.
Through partnerships with leading game studios in the UK, we ensure that our education remains industry-relevant and provides students with strong connections to the games sector.
Per-Anders Ring, Head of Business and Product at TGA, comments:
"Expanding The Game Assembly to the UK is a natural next step for us. Our education model has proven highly successful in Sweden, and we are excited to now bring it to students in the UK. Liverpool is a growing games hub with a strong industry presence, making it the perfect location for our expansion."
