Course Reviews

Below, we share reviews from previous participants to give you a real sense of what to expect. Hopefully, these firsthand experiences will help you decide if this online courses are the right fit for you.

  • In 2023, together with around 20 of my colleagues, I took the “Agile for Games and Leadership” and “Leadership & Team Dynamics” interactive courses held by John Johansson. The courses were well structured, with tailor-made materials (such as texts, videos, and other media) distributed to us in advance of each session.

John is one of the most inspiring and engaging teachers I’ve ever had the pleasure of being instructed by!He traveled to Malmö for a first on-site session, so that he could meet all of us. The remaining sessions were online, with John lecturing from the University in Karlstad, while my colleagues and I participated from Stockholm and Malmö. John really made it feel like we were all together in the same place, by very thought-through and well executed use of Teams and breakout rooms.

He has a knack for seeing everyone in the virtual room(s) and making sure everyone’s opinions and queries are heard. As we all had prepared the sessions’ materials beforehand, we could spend the time in class actively learning by doing, using examples and scenarios supplied by John that we explored, discussed and found solutions to together. While split into breakout rooms, John would alternate between groups, giving us opportunities to discuss with each other and with him in smaller groups.

All in all, both courses were well worth the investment in both time and money. I would recommend John’s courses without hesitation. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table!

  • It gave a great balance of teaching advanced methodologies at a level that those proficient would get a lot from the discussions, but those who completely new to the concepts would clearly understand.

  • ” This was the best agile pm course I have taken. It was structured well and it was a lot of fun with great discussions. This course was something I was looking forward to every week.

  • This course is fantastic since it gives participants the chance to communicate, brainstorm, and have discussions with multiple professionals in the game industry. I had a great time and learned a lot from the course, which is surely a unique experience. John is a fantastic instructor, and I heartily endorse taking the course. Agile processes correspond precisely with the materials and platforms offered in an engaging, participatory and interactive approach.
