An upskilling program for you who wish to up-your-game on linear algebra

Explore the world of game development with our course on linear algebra and scripting. Designed for working artists, this course offers a valuable opportunity to enhance your mathematical skills and communicate effectively with programmers. Gain the knowledge, skills, and competencies required by the industry, including constructing and validating mathematical implementations, understanding the functional applications of linear algebra in game development, and performing basic calculations with vectors and matrices.

How it works

This is an advanced program designed for you who are already work in the games industry or a similar field. As a result, the program allows you to pursue your studies while working. The classes are conveniently conducted online, and the study pace is set at only 8 hours per week. One of the significant advantages of this arrangement is that you can immediately apply the knowledge you acquire to your workplace, maximizing its practical value.

  • Linear algebra/scripting (10 HVE-credits)
The course aims to develop participants’ basic knowledge of linear algebra, as applied from an artist’s perspective. The purpose is to provide participants with a foundational understanding of commonly encountered concepts in linear algebra that are necessary within the field, as well as their practical applications in game development. The course equips professional artists with the comprehension and tools necessary to effectively communicate with other professionals in the realm of game development.

Course Format

  • Online sessions: Will be held in the evenings from 19:00 to 21:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The lessons are livestreamed and recorded, providing enhanced flexibility.
  • Lessons: Each lesson consists of theoretical components in linear algebra and scripting, followed by practical exercises.
  • Self-study: 4 hours a week
  • Totalt hours of studying per week: 8 hours
