A part of the preparation is also continous training for the teachers so they always are up to date. We have sent two of our game art teachers, Jacob Lind and Stefan Ek, to attend SIGGRAPH 2018 in Vancouver this year. A five-day conference with the latest innovations in CG, Animation, VR, Games, Digital Art, Mixed Reality and Emerging Technologies.
And guess who they met? JIM BLINN!! The American computer scientist, credited with formulating Blinn’s Law and a modification to the Phong reflection model, The Blinn–Phong reflection model. Mr Blinn is a legend!!
We are all star struck and eager to hear everything about the encounter when Jacob and Stefan comes back to Malmö in a few days.
